The short version
We collect as little as we can. No tracking cookies, no ads, no analytics scripts, and we never see your card number.
About businesses we research
We read public web pages of businesses (their website, pricing, and public coverage) to understand what they sell and who might buy it. We store that public information and the links we read it from.
About outlets in our results
For publications, newsletters, podcasts, communities and similar outlets, we store their name, public website, the public text we quote as evidence, and public business contact routes: submission forms, contact pages, sponsor pages, social profiles, and role email addresses on their own domain (like tips@ or editor@). We deliberately leave out personal email addresses. If you run an outlet and want to be excluded, email us and we'll remove you.
About customers
When you buy, Stripe collects your payment details and email address. We receive your email, the amount and whether payment succeeded; we never receive or store your card number. We also store your order, which results you kept or rejected and why, and any notes you add, so we can replace results and improve future work for you. We count how many times an offer page is viewed, without identifying who viewed it.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and database.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Anthropic (Claude) reads public web pages and writes the research and pitches. We send it public website text and the details of your order, not your payment information.
Cookies
The pages you see as a buyer set no cookies. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies to process payment and prevent fraud.
How long we keep it
Orders and feedback are kept while you're a customer and for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Research data about outlets is kept while it's useful and refreshed or deleted when it goes stale.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@pushbutton.si. If you're in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
